“It feels nerve-wracking to go to work because I am the primary caregiver for my elderly parents. They are very vulnerable and I’m afraid I might infect them.
I’ve been working at the hospital for over 25 years and I’ve never ever seen so much death from one virus. I worked through SARS and that wasn’t as bad as COVID. The lack of PPE for all the employees is also very scary. You would think we would’ve learned from dealing with SARS!
There’s so much uncertainty as you enter the hospital….you don’t know if you’ll be coming out infected.”
