In Their Own Words

Do Svidaniya

Frozen winter begun to thaw

Spring blossoms are in the air

The world was getting darker

But we were all just so unaware

A phone call rings in the night

My heart races with the sounds

Somehow, I knew without hearing

We were headed for burial grounds

I lay awake worried that you’re alone

Knowing I couldn’t hold your hands that night

Eyes with rings of blue now closed

Skin soft and almost daisy white

I still remember you in the golden light

I still talk to you in the skies

I can’t help but feel you still with us

Cause the pain is something I can’t compromise

Collective horror but we’re so alone

Feeling like I was the only one

No matter how much I rebuild

My kingdom has come undone
