Deepy Sur is the Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW), whose vision is to mobilize mental health and wellbeing across Ontario alongside its more than 9,000 social work members. Including social workers in mental health care is a win-win for patients and providers

Primary care is one of the most common ways people access mental health treatment in this country. But with limited access to primary care providers, more patients are likely to slip through the cracks. Integrating social workers into primary health care teams could help.
