Julie Gilbert is currently a healthcare consultant with over 25 years of experience in applied health services research and implementation science. She worked for over 11 years at Cancer Care Ontario (now Ontario Health) where she created and managed a program in research and evaluation, and helped shape the agency’s research strategy.  Most recently, she was Research Director and Chair at Humber River Hospital. Julie has a Masters degree in Epidemiology and a PhD in Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, both from the University of Toronto, where she now lectures and supervises graduate students.
