Nadine Belzile is the founder of (Bébé, an educational resource to inform parents and health-care professionals about the importance of a baby’s movements during the third trimester of pregnancy, and co-founder of the Canadian Collaborative for Stillbirth Prevention. She holds a Master’s in Anthropology and worked for 15 years as a research and public policy analyst for the Government of Canada.

Canada’s stillbirth rate has remained stagnant for more than 20 years, at a rate of more than 3,000 per year, and there are no plans in place to reduce it.
