Tom McIntosh is a Professor in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Regina, and a researcher with the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit (SPHERU). His research focuses on Canadian health policy, federalism, population health and intergovernmental relations, and he has advised governments at the municipal, provincial and federal levels, including serving as Research Coordinator for the Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada. His most recent book (co-edited with Charles Smith) is The New Politics of Western Canada (UBCPress, 2025).
