Kathy Kastner is a former CBC reporter before morphing into an entrepreneur in the health space, pioneering two hospital-based television networks for patient education: The Parent Channel and Healthtv. Her current focus is on end of life from a layman’s point of view. She was a patient partner on a recent North America-wide study on Advance Care Planning, funded by the  Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
