This week, Drs. Mike and John Fralick discuss two recent papers exploring the role of oral semaglutide in patients with obesity and the efficacy of enoxaparin in preventing symptomatic venous thromboembolism in hospitalized older adults. Two papers, here we go!

  1. Oral semaglutide 50 mg taken once per day in adults with overweight or obesity (OASIS 1): a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial (0:00 – 10:50).

  2. Enoxaparin versus Placebo to Prevent Symptomatic Venous Thromboembolism in Hospitalized Older Adult Medical Patients (10:50 – 18:46).
